ORCA welcomes VA7SVA Don from Westminster, BC. and our first station from British Columbia. This was my second week filling in for Doug K7KY as NCS and I’m learning a lot each time. It’s gone very smoothly thanks mostly to the skill and attention of the membership. As you can imagine, the net has changed greatly for me; no more reception reports and relaxing thru the traffic and comment rounds. I appreciate working with you all because it allows me to learn while being among friendly & competent operators.

Tonight K6ETA Steve relayed to VA7SVA that NC had him checked in, which later VA7VSA Don replied that he had high QSB. Caught up briefly with KE6SLS Jaye following the net. He’s been busy working and just returned from local ham club meeting.

REMEMBER! Daylight Savings changes this weekend. Next ORCA DIGITAL NET will be at 1930L and 0230Z. Hope to see you on the WF!
73,
Mindy W7ZAP

As horrific as the Pulse nightclub slaughter was on June 12 in Orlando, lives were saved.

Three blocks away, Orlando Regional Medical Center staff had practiced a mass casualty drill just weeks ahead of the real thing,
hospital officials told 600 doctors, nurses and educators Tuesday in Ponte Vedra Beach.
